The second public beta for macOS “Golden Gate” (version 15) is out. Apple dropped it yesterday.
The first round of updates brought us Siri’s big AI rework. This new version fixes what broke and adds more firepower. It is not just another patch. It is a major shift in how the Mac operates under the hood.

- Go to beta.apple.com and sign up for the public beta program. You need to do this before the update appears.
- On your Mac, open System Settings.
- Click General.
- Click Software Update.
- Click the “i” icon next to Beta Updates.
- Select the latest macOS 15 Golden Gate Public Beta from the dropdown.
- Hit Download and Install.
It takes time. Your Mac will restart. Some apps might break. That is the cost of beta software.
