Spain vs. Belgium: Watch the 2026 QF Without Crying

2

The Red Devils are walking into a trap. Or a fortress. Hard to tell with Spain’s defense this cycle, but it is impenetrable.

Belgium has to tear it down to reach the semis. It is not easy. The last 11 times they met, Spain won or drew. Never lost. So Rudi Garcia’s side needs to do something historical today in Los Angeles.

La Roja isn’t pretty. Never has been in this World Cup. They grind. They suffocate opponents. Luis de la Fuente has kept a clean sheet since Day 1. Zero goals against. Monday’s ugly 1-0 scrape over Portugal pushed their unbeaten streak to 35 games. That is a heavy number.

Belgium improved though. They destroyed the USA 4-1 Tuesday. Determination? Maybe. Or just bad US marking. Either way, they are feeling dangerous. Dangerous teams still fold against Spanish walls though.

When and Where

Friday. Inglewood. The place formerly known as SoFi.

Kickoff is noon PT. If you are on the East Coast, 3 p.m. hits the button. UK watchers get an evening kick-off at 8 p.m. BST, but Aussies… well. Australia gets 5 a.m. on Saturday. Sleep is not a requirement for sports fans apparently.

How to Actually Watch

Let’s be honest. Cable is dead. We are all streaming. Here is who holds the rights, because the geography of broadcast rights is a mess.

In the US: English

Fox owns this. FS1 might carry overflow, but this QF? That is main stage Fox.

  • Fox One : The cheapest route if you are a cord-cutter. Just the matches. Nothing else.
  • Live TV Bundles : YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV. They all have Fox. Pick whatever is on sale.
  • Peacock : Don’t go here for English. This is Spanish-only coverage (see below).

“Check your provider’s terms of service. Some ban VPNs. Some don’t care. But Fox might care.”

In the US: Spanish

NBCUniversal holds these cards. Telemundo shows the big games. This one goes on Telemundo. The other 12 matches are on Universo. Stream them all via Peacock. Dolby Vision makes the grass look expensive.

In the UK

Free. Again. Thank the BBC gods.

It is on BBC One. Streaming on iPlayer. Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m., kickoff at 8 p.m. You get pundits and ads. That is the cost of freedom.

In Canada

Bell Media runs the show here.

  • English : TSN or CTV.
  • French : RDS.
  • Streaming : TSN Plus.

It is not free, but at least you don’t have to buy a separate international pack if you already have Bell sports.

In Australia

SBS does everything. For free.

Every match. Every minute. SBS gets the rights and they just… air them. Australians should feel proud of that value proposition.

A Word on VPNs

Want to watch Fox from London? You need a mask.

A VPN hides your IP. It encrypts the pipe. Your ISP stops seeing what you stream, which might help if they are throttling you on public Wi-Fi in an airport hotel. Legal? Yes, in most places including the US, Canada, and the UK.

But read the fine print. Some streaming apps ban VPN traffic outright. They will give you a 403 error. It happens. ExpressVPN is often cited as the one that works, but results vary. Test it. If it blocks you, switch servers. If it still blocks you, you are out of luck.

The Stakes

Spain wants history. Belgium wants revenge.

History suggests Spain keeps the streak alive. The defense is too quiet, too disciplined. Belgium is fast. Fast teams break defenses. Sometimes.

Maybe today is different. Maybe the wall cracks. Or maybe Spain just out-waits them. Who knows. We will see.

See you at kickoff. Or in the morning, if you live west of the date line. Good luck. You’ll need it. 🏐⚽
