Acer has unveiled a range of updated laptops at CES 2026, with a clear focus on balancing portability, durability, and performance. The new Swift Edge and Aspire AI models represent a strategic push toward lighter, tougher designs, alongside internal upgrades to meet the demands of both professional and casual users.
Swift Edge Series: Strength Meets Slim Design
The standout models are the Swift Edge 14 AI and Swift Edge 16 AI, which prioritize a refined physical build over extreme thinness. Acer incorporated a stainless steel-magnesium alloy into the chassis, making these laptops more durable while maintaining a weight under 2.2 pounds. Both models feature OLED displays – with options for up to 2,880×1,800-pixel resolution – and can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H CPU, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. These laptops aim to offer a premium experience without sacrificing ruggedness.
Swift 16 AI: Touchpad Innovation for Creatives
The new Swift 16 AI introduces a large, haptic feedback touchpad with Gorilla Glass protection, designed for artists and designers who rely on stylus input. This feature allows for seamless workflow without lifting the hand, making it ideal for creative tasks. The laptop itself weighs under 3.5 pounds and can be configured with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics, 32GB of RAM, and 2TB of storage.
Swift Go Series: Performance and Affordability
Acer’s Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI offer a balance between portability and power, featuring Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processors and integrated Intel Arc B390 graphics. These models are not as thin or durable as the Swift Edge series but provide a more affordable entry point into Acer’s premium lineup, with OLED display options and up to 1TB of storage.
Aspire AI Series: Practical Upgrades for Everyday Use
The Aspire 14 AI and Aspire 16 AI receive updates to their displays, with OLED panel upgrades now available on both models. These laptops retain their focus on practicality, offering up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H CPU, integrated Intel graphics, and up to 32GB of RAM. The Aspire 16 AI stands out with the option for up to 2TB of storage.
These laptop updates emphasize Acer’s commitment to delivering durable, performance-driven devices across various price points. While pricing details have not yet been released, the new models are expected to ship later this year.
